About Octane Interactive

A brief history

Octane Interactive Limited came into being on the 14th of June 1999. Seeing the potential of the nascent new media industry, Octane Interactive was borne out of a desire to be creative in thought and deed.

What does Octane do?

Octane Interactive is a new media design agency — I work with you, your business and your marketing team to find innovative and cost-effective ways of making things like websites, web-based applications and on-line presentations pull in the crowds, draw attention to what you do and help make you money.

For the most part, we provide web design & development, SEO & SEM services to the education, healthcare and manufacturing sectors among others. And, I also partner with other design agencies too, helping them give more to their own clients.

Where is Octane based?

Octane is based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, and has offices in The Barracks business centre, on the outskirts of Pontefract in West Yorkshire, making me quite central to a number of major towns & cities, such as Sheffield, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Wakefield and Leeds.

About Wayne Smallman

a photograph of Wayne SmallmanMy name is Wayne Smallman, and I'm the Managing Director and principle founder of Octane Interactive Limited. I've been in the design and new media industries since the mid nineties.

My clients see me more as a partner than a supplier, which says everything about the kind of service I provide.

I love what I do. It's as simple as that. That pleasure in what I do is key to the quality of the service my clients get from me.

More recently, I've been writing for a number of business publications, including the FSBs First Voice magazine, among others. And then there's always Octane's own business blog, which is a great source of business help, tips and advice, all gleaned from my years in the design industry.
