Octane Interactive Limited came into being on the 14th of June 1999. Seeing the potential of the nascent new media industry, Octane Interactive was borne out of an desire to be creative in thought and deed.
Octane Interactive is a new media design agency. That means I work with you to find innovative, professional, engaging and cost-effective ways of making things like websites, web-based applications and interactive tools like CD Rom's, DVD's and on-line presentations which help sell and market what it is that you do.
Octane Interactive is based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, making me quite central to a number of major towns & cities, such as Sheffield, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Wakefield and Leeds.
However, I'm not averse to projects further afield, either within Britain or abroad.
Octane Interactive provides quality web design & development, SEO & SEM and accessibility & usability services to the education, healthcare and manufacturing sectors among others, I also partner with design agencies to ensure my clients are able to extend the range of services that they can offer to their customers, should they choose.
My name is Wayne Smallman, and I'm the Managing Director and principle founder of Octane Interactive.
I've been in the print design and new media industry since the mid nineties and I have a number of qualifications: a National Diploma in Industrial Design, a Higher National Diploma in Product Design and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honours in Industrial Design, Product Design and Electronic Media.
I love solving problems, especially those of the new media variety. I'm considered more of a partner than a supplier to my clients, which says everything about what I do and how I go about doing it.
