Personal Branding is a relatively new concept within the business world and although the market is still embryonic it offers huge growth potential.

The goal was to create a logo form that was simple, bold, scalable (by way of both size & adaptability for various types of media), and that imbues a sense of optimism.

The colour of the logo is meant to engender a sense of growth while the graphical arrows represent the convergence of ideas, ambitions & perceptions.

The benefits

The main requirements were meeting a budget and creating a strong sense of purpose while building solid documentation from which to control the identity:

  • Money matters » by agreeing to a budget and then working to meet that target was a question for both parties to work towards, not simply myself.
  • Guiding rules » the benefit of producing documented corporate guidelines needs little explanation. We retain control no matter where the logo appears.
  • Hitting the target » by asking the right questions and listening to the needs of the client, the design phase was short and productive.

What we achieved

    Working to a specific budget and meeting that budget to the penny.
  • Disciplined design
    By creating a set of corporate guidelines, we control the representation of identity no matter the application or choice of media.
  • Stationary and motion
    A versatile identity that will work in either print, web or in motion on video.

Conclusion

Working to such a strict budgetary target for something as esoteric and highly subjective as an identity has been an experience .. or, because of the short time frame, a brief one at least!

Creating something unique isn’t about having lots of time to think, it’s about using what time you have effectively, and working with your client, not simply working for them.
